Aftercare Provider
This part-time position involves supervising first-grade students and grades children on select afternoons, ensuring they are engaged in age-appropriate activities that align with Waldorf principles. The role includes overseeing quiet time, guiding simple crafts and games, and supervising outdoor play.
Schedule:
Monday through Wednesday: 1:00 – 3:30 PM with first graders, providing a mix of quiet time, crafts, and outdoor activities.
Thursday: 1:00 – 3:15 PM extended care for grades children, focusing primarily on supervised outdoor play.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children, ideally in a school or childcare setting.
A warm and patient demeanor with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s growth through creative and outdoor activities.
Familiarity with Waldorf education principles is a plus but not required.
Early Childhood Substitutes
Sandpoint Waldorf School is seeking flexible and reliable Substitute Teachers for our early childhood program. If you are comfortable working with young children and have a flexible schedule, we encourage you to apply.

Grades Substitute Teacher Opportunity
We are looking for experienced substitute teachers to support our Grades program. Substitutes in this role are typically responsible for leading the class independently. Prior teaching experience is required, though Waldorf-specific experience is not mandatory. This position is ideal for educators who are confident in managing a classroom and delivering lessons effectively.
Orchestra and Strings Assistant
We are excited to announce that our new Strings Teacher, Keegan, who began as our Strings Assistant, has transitioned into a teaching role. Keegan initially supported our program by tuning instruments, working with students individually or in small groups, and assisting with performances. Now, as Keegan takes on the role of Strings Teacher, we are seeking an assistant to support the program for six periods per week.
Applicants must be proficient in one of the instruments in our program: violin, viola, cello, or bass.
