TUITION ADJUSTMENT Program
The Sandpoint Waldorf School values an economically diverse school community and affirms that financial considerations should not solely determine who can and cannot attend our school. We strive to make Waldorf education accessible to all children regardless of economic circumstances and we celebrate the gifts that a diverse community brings to us. The TAP program is one way the school endeavors to make this possible.
SWS TAP PROCESS
Any family enrolling a child in grades 1 through 8 or final year of kindergarten may submit an application for tuition adjustment.
Each family will completely fill out an online confidential FACTS application (https://factsmgt.com) Please note, the details of this application are not provided to the school and the school will reimburse the $30 application fee.
The family will then complete and submit the SWS Supplemental TAP application paperwork for tuition adjustment.
Once both the FACTS application and the Supplemental TAP application have been submitted, we invite our applicants to a meeting with two members of our TAP Committee. We recommend all applicants/parents attend the conversations. At this meeting, the family’s needs and budget are considered, as well as the school’s needs and budget. Based upon the information provided by the applicant, the total number of TAP applicants, the available funds in the TAP budget, and other factors, the committee will make a careful assessment of the adjustment SWS can offer.
The TAP Committee reviews applications and informs the applicants of adjustments.
All information concerning the TAP application and its outcome will be kept mutually confidential between the family, TAP committee members, and Administration. Faculty members are not privy to TAP conversations.
