VOLUNTEER

Volunteering at the Sandpoint Waldorf school is a meaningful way to connect with others, learn new skills, and make a positive impact. We invite you to join us in our mission to provide a holistic education that nurtures the intellectual, creative, and spiritual potential of each student.

Involvement of all parents is necessary for maintaining the health and stability of the school. We ask families to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per school year to assist the school. Your involvement can take the form of sharing as well as helping with specific projects and classroom activities, collective talents in such areas as committee work, building and grounds maintenance, and fundraising. Along with helping in your child’s classroom, parents will be expected to volunteer for the following:

●       Common Area Cleaning: We ask families to clean a common area of the school once a school year. Provided with instructions and supplies, this will take approximately 2-3 hours.

●       Summer All-site Work Day (Typically the third Saturday in August): Volunteers assist the school with minor repairs, cleaning and moving of furniture to prepare for the new school year.

●      Spring Clean Up Work Day (Typically the first Thursday in May): Saying hello to Spring, volunteers assist with the clean up of school grounds after a North Idaho

●       Assist with each of the following:

  • Winter Faire (First Saturday in December): Volunteers assist with decorating, preparing and serving food, craft making, and clean up.

  • May Faire (First Friday in May): Volunteers assist the school by creating, and volunteering at activity booths.

  • Annual Spring Auction (Typically in May): This event is our largest fundraiser for our school. Volunteers assist with planning, preparing and running this event.
